Sony HDV Z1 kits
The Sony HVR-Z1E HDV/DVcam switchable camera is the fantastic camera from Sony. A superb replacement for a PD170 or PD150 in widescreen situations, it feels better to operate, has a bright colour flip out screen and better manual shooting controls for gain, iris and focus. You can even assign functions you find useful to buttons, instead of digging through menus.
If you don't feel the need to shoot High-def right now, you can carry on shooting in DVCam mode but with the benefit of a native 16:9 chip. In the right hands, pictures from this camera will intercut far better with Digibeta and DSR camera shots than the PD170.
You could also choose to shoot in HDV mode (but best to use the recommended tape stock to avoid dropouts on mission critical shots) and we can downconvert your tapes to Digibeta or DVcam, keeping the High def option open for a later date. (See our transfers page for prices)
Our Ob-Doc kit is the camera with 3 long-life batteries, charger, soft shoulder bag and a Vinten tripod. Note when comparing prices that many companies charge extra for the tripod.
Kit cost is £65 per day or a seven day week billed as 4 at £260. That works out to only £37.14 per day! Discounts may be available to known clients for longer periods.
Kits booked for four or more days may be delivered free in central London.
Radio mikes and other accessories also available.
All prices exclude VAT. Please see our terms and conditions for insurance information.
