Insanely Driven?

Well you can always find out if you are using this clever and quirky online character profiling game – or ‘interactive experience’ to give it its proper label – called Insanely Driven (and certainly has an element of the insane about it…)

The ‘experience’ is designed by digital media pioneers Less Rain and directed by Vassilious Alexiou, on behalf of hygiene, health and home products giant Reckitt Benckiser. The viewer is guided on a quirky journey through a series of character profiling questions. What sort of person are you?

It’s a pretty smart and innovative piece of interactive video content that was graded at the Post Factory. Doesn’t it look nice?

Oh, and that’s the first character profiling question by the way! ;o)

Steady as you go!

The Gear Factory’s resident camera operator has recently completed a training course at the NTFS in Beaconsfield in Steadicam. Learning about the techncial aspect of the equpiment and how to best use the Steadicam – is there nothing he cannot do? We there’s certainly a lot less now at any rate. Naturally, because it’s the National Film and Televiosn School – they’ve made a film of the course! If you’re interesting in learning more about Steadicam work too – check out the course trailer here…

It’s just adds another aspect of the PFG services that are on offer. So remember whatever your project we have the capacity to take it from concept through to completion. Advise – shoot – edit – finish – deliver: all under the same factory roof.

Road to Morocco

Post Factory had the honour of onlining new feature film, Zohra, and deliver the video to be printed onto film for its theatrical release in Morocco. A UK distribution has not been secured yet, but as we see it, what better excuse could you have for a trip to Marrakech?

The film, about a young couple’s love affair set against the back drop of Moroccan rural life, was shot on a variety of formats: super 16, Prores 4444, DPX flies and35mm film! And it’s certainly proved a challenge to bring it all together visually while allowing for the film’s stylistic and narrative twists and turns, complemented by use of the various formats in the media.

Post Factory turns over a new Page…

A Tiffany Page that is! And her new music video to be precise. New queen of rock pop Tiffany and her producer, Martin Johnson, used the Post Factory facilities (at an excellent weekend rate…) to grade and finish the new video for her latest single ‘9 Bar’ and supply the deliverables for web and TV release. New Gear Factory Premisies

Work is nearly complete on the all new, purpose build, Gear Factory. Expect more space for more kit, more room for trying and testing kit, and better access for picking-up and delivering kit. It’s all about the kit you know… the REDs will have their own home at last! And it’s just down the Colonnade from PFG HQ – perfect! Watch this space for more info in the coming weeks…

Master Music Muddle

It was Post Factory to the rescue recently when we were able to solve a particular pickle for a documentary programme on jet engine pioneer, Frank Whittle. The documentary, mastered onto digibeta, is set to receive a DVD release in America and will become available on the iTunes store (USA) soon. However the music used at the end of the show didn’t receive clearance in America, but our Post Factory editor was on hand in a tight turnaround period to re-edit, re-cut and re-align a new music track and record it back to the digibeta before shipping it out to the States.

Spring is in the air and the Post Factory Group are in the spring sprucing mood. We’re not only going to give our little website here a bit of rub-down and a shake-up, but we’re doing the same to our office at PFG HQ too! So apologies to any of you popping in over the next couple of weeks, but the office looks a little cluttered – ahem – to say the least… But it’s business as usual as far as operations are concerned – no rest for the wicked, eh?
