British Urban Film Festival – June 2018

The British Urban Film Festival is just around the corner. This festival celebrates filmmaking from all walks of life but has a special focus on emerging BAME talent. There’s a heck of a lot talent out there that goes under the radar of many conventional festivals, BUFF gives urban filmmakers a dedicated platform to showcase their work.

Highlights at the festival this year are sure to be the UK premier of ‘No Shade’, the first feature film made by the BUFF team themselves. This film will open the festival at the Curzon Soho cinema on June 4th.

There’s a lot of great work to choose from but here are few other screenings that caught our eye:

Weds June 6th – UK hip hop documentary double bill and Q&A session:

More than just screenings however, look out for the BUFF Awards too! Helping to recognise the rising stars of urban filmmaking across all the categories.

Where and When

The festival place takes place between the 4th – 9th June playing at venues in central and north London.

Post Factory Partnerships

The Post Factory is providing support to filmmakers at the festival through offering great rates for DCPs and blu-ray disks for all participating films. We have been able to further support the festival organisers with DCP services for the opening night premier for ‘No Shade’ and we look forward to the screening on June 4th!
